Warmest Wishes for a Peaceful and Joyful Holiday Season |
 |
As the new year approaches, I wish everyone in the DAS community a restful and restorative holiday.
I will also take this opportunity to congratulate our students, who have worked so hard and creatively throughout the term, and equally to thank our dedicated faculty and staff who help students realize their goals and reach for their dreams.
As I attended reviews over the last two weeks, I was again reminded that DAS is a magical place - an expanding constellation of diverse talent and bright potential - where we learn and strive together to build a better world.
As many of us look forward to rest and celebration, we might also reflect on local and global challenges, and how we can best work together to improve the life-sustaining architectures of hope, peace and joy, which everyone truly desires and the planet urgently needs.
Please remember the Department of Architectural Science offices will be closed from Monday, December 23, 2024 to Friday, January 3, 2025, as we all take a well-deserved break.
DAS reopens Monday, January 6, 2025, which also marks the start of our four-day Collaborative Exercise. This year’s Collaborative theme is “Waterfront Stories”, led by Dr. Terri Peters. Don’t miss this exciting all-school charrette!
I look forward to seeing you refreshed and re-energized in the new year!
Warm Wishes,
Lisa Landrum
Chair, Department of Architectural Science
